Terminal operator Elengy has settled on a long-term revamp programme for Fos Tonkin LNG (right), France’s oldest regasification facility.
The GDF Suez subsidiary plans to extend operations beyond 2014 to 2035 with the addition of a new storage tank.
Capacity will be raised from the current 5.5 billion cubic metres per annum to 7 Bcma.
Two 35,000 cubic-metre tanks will be dismantled, leaving a newer 80,000 cubic-metre unit in place.
