El Salvador’s main electricity distributor is pre-qualifying bidders for a power tender that could underpin Central America’s first LNG terminal.
Houston-based developer Cutuco Energy, which plans to build an import facility and associated power plant on the country’s Pacific Coast, is focusing its efforts on a bid, a source said.
PQ documents are due this week, with full offers expected on 6 January.
