Petronet LNG has received eight responses to its pre-qualification round for a floating storage and regasification unit or a floating storage unit for its planned east coast import terminal.
The Indian importer, which is due to open the offers next week, is seeking a bridging unit while it builds a new onshore facility at Gangavaram in Andhra Pradesh.
The company wants to charter in a unit from 2014 for an initial three to five-year period before putting its onshore plant into operation from 2016.
