Dominion has taken its liquefaction ambitions to the next level with a wider export request with US officials.



The utility, which plans to convert its Dominion Cove Point import terminal in Maryland into a bi-directional facility, has asked the Department of Energy for a 25-year licence to ship cargoes to countries without a free trade agreement with the US.



The filing comes less than five weeks after the company applied for exports to countries with an agreement.
