The Dialog Group is planning to bring in a new partner for what could be Malaysia’s second import terminal.
The domestic company, which is in the early stages of development of the land-based proposal, said it is having “conceptual discussions” with the government of Johor about the project.
“We are still considering capacity and we will be looking for other companies to come in and partner on the project,” said a Dialog Group official at the World Gas Conference in Kuala Lumpur.
The terminal will form part of a wider energy development in the state, which will see the construction of an independent deep-water petroleum terminal in Pengerang and a fabrication yard and storage facilities.
