Reports are rife that the government will next week unveil plans to scrap the development due to the costs involved.The Jamaica Gleaner newspaper quoted a government source as saying the administration will pull out of delivering the infrastructure and LNG supplies. Power distributor and future LNG off-taker Jamaica Public Service Company has since said the public sector can assume the role of sourcing supplies if the government gives its permission.
