A commissioning cargo is en route to Thailand’s $700m maiden LNG import terminal.

Sources close to state-run PTTLNG, the new facility’s operator, said the first cool-down shipment is due to arrive at the Map Ta Phut terminal in Rayong Province during the last week of May or the first few days of June.

Electronic data show the 140,000-cbm Golar Viking (built 2005) is scheduled to arrive at Map Ta Phut on 30 May.
