China National Petroleum Corporation has received provincialapproval for a small scale terminal on Hainan island to receive break-bulkvolumes from the mainland.
The nod from the Hainan Province Development and ReformCommission helps pave the way to begin construction of a facility with 40,000cubic metres of initial storage capacity, which will rise to 200,000 cubicmetres, according to media reports.
Marine facilities will have capacity to receive 10,000 to20,000-cbm LNG carriers.
