Authorities in the Chinese province of Hainan have endorsed a proposal by China National Petroleum Corporation to build a small-scale LNG terminal in Chengmai county.
The construction of LNG distribution facilities in the northern part of the island province will trigger fresh market jostling with rival China National Offshore Oil Corporation, which is building the Hainan LNG terminal in the area.
