Southern China terminal operator Guangdong Dapeng LNG looks set to boost import volumes by 16% this year.

The facility, where China National Offshore Oil Corporation is the largest shareholder, is on course to receive 6.5 million tonnes against the 5.6 million tonnes imported last year, a CNOOC official told Bloomberg News.

He added the government could approve construction of a fourth 160,000 cubic-metre storage tank by the year-end.
