LNG newcomer Concepcion International is finalising an LNG supply contract this week for its planned Chilean floating import terminal.

The joint venture of Chilean and South Korean interests is seeking to develop a regasification terminal at Talcahuano on the south-central coast.

A company executive said it is “in the last part of finishing and signing the supply contract with a company that will bring us LNG”.

“We are about to sign, by the end of this week,” he added.

The developer did not reveal who will be providing the volumes, which are set to total 5 million cubic metres per day, but has previously said it is in exclusive supply talks with Korea Gas.
