Capacity holders at the Dominion Cove Point import terminal have pushed back against a proposal aimed at bringing in enough cargoes to keep the facility running.
UK-based BP and Norway’s Statoil filed protests with the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission asking for the body to reject some of Dominion Energy’s tariff requests.
The US utility, which operates the import facility in Maryland state, has been seeking a variety of charges aimed at encouraging enough cargoes to continue operations, or to pay for buying cargoes.
