BW Gas is mulling three different solutions for a floating LNG import terminal off the Dominican Republic. Sverre Prytz, managing director of the company’s gas and power division, said the technology for the job has yet to be determined.
Options being considered include a Gravifloat, which is fixed to the seabed in shallow waters; EasyLNG, a solution where the regas kit is housed on a barge and an LNG carrier is used for storage; and a converted gas carrier.
