Golar LNG is assessing opportunities for consolidation in the LNG carrier sector while also planning to ramp up activity in the floating storage and regasification market.
“We are looking at several opportunities,” said Doug Arnell, the new chief executive of parent Golar Management.
“I can’t give any odds on how many opportunities will come to fruition but we will only acquire vessels or fleets of vessels from other companies if the numbers make sense.
