Energy World has begun construction work at the site of a planned LNG import terminal in the Philippines.
The company is targeting a 2012 or 2013 start-up on Pagbilao Grande Island in Quezon province.
Phase one of the Pagbilao LNG project will involve building a 130,000 cubic-metre storage tank, regasification facility and a marine jetty.
An eventual expansion phase will add another tank.
