Privately owned Xinjiang Guanghui Petroleum has started building a 1 million tonnes per annum LNG import terminal in eastern China’s Jiangsu province. The company has begun laying foundations for the plant in Qidong county.
Guanghui has yet to win approval from the National Energy Administration for construction, though the Jiangsu provincial government has given the project the go-ahead.
