BG Group’s proposed Brindisi LNG project in Italy is facing fresh opposition after recently securing a key consent from regulators.
The city, led by Mayor Mimmo Consales, has challenged the decision by the Regional Technical Committee to approve the project’s technical study, according to local press.
BG confirmed that the committee has given its consent to the study, after it had earlier this year declined to give clearance to what BG said is “commonly used industry technology proposed for the project”.
