Israel has received a handful of bids to supply the nation’s maiden LNG import terminal, which is due online by the end of the year.

State-owned Israel Electric Corporation said it has completed a request for proposals round and will now move quickly to firm up one or more contracts.

“The tender committee will decide which of the proposals we will continue to have discussions with in order to reach an agreement,” said an IEC source.

“We hope to have a quick process to try to finalise supply from maybe more than one supplier and to reach an agreement as soon as possible.”
