Pertamina and compatriot Indonesia Power are planning a receiving terminal on the island of Bali.

The companies have homed in on a site in Benoa harbour.

IP’s general manager for Bali, Antonius Artono, told the Jakarta Post that the capacity of the facility is still undecided.

The island’s gas demand is estimated at 20 million cubic metres per day initially, but a new electrical grid connection with East Java will reduce the unmet demand to 8 MMcmd, he said.
