There has been an apparent change in the module bidding strategy for the Australia Pacific LNG project in Queensland, Australia.
US company Bechtel is managing the downstream side of the project on behalf of owners ConocoPhillips, Origin Energy and Sinopec, and was initially looking at yards in China, sources said.
However, complications then arose over contractual terms being offered to the Chinese yards and the potential for infringements of intellectual property, said sources.
