Finnish ship engine manufacturer Wartsila is one step closer to acquiring UK gas systems provider Hamworthy.
A scheme of arrangement covering the takeover bid was today sanctioned at a court hearing in London.
Wartsila now just needs the associated reduction of capital to be confirmed on 30 January to allow control of Hamworthy to be transferred.
