Companies eyeing up the expanded Panama Canal as a possible route for their LNG shipments will have to wait until 2013 before the new toll structure is unveiled.
Panama Canal Authority liquid bulk segment leader Silvia de Marucci revealed that many shipowners have been in touch with differing requirements on tolling.
The PCA will not opt for a set-up that will deter shippers from using the waterway when its expansion is completed by the end of 2014, she insisted.
