Developers behind the Emirates LNG project are rumoured to have narrowed the list of contenders to provide a floating import terminal off Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates.
Excelerate Energy and Golar LNG are set to battle it out for the job of providing a floating storage and regasification unit, sources said. Abu Dhabi-based developers Mubadala Oil & Gas, a business unit of Mubadala Development Company, and state investment vehicle International Petroleum Investment Company are said to have moved swiftly to whittle down their preferred choices.
The facility will kick off with an initial 600 million cubic feet per day of capacity.
