K Line and NYK are finalising a contract extension with gas-hungry utility Tokyo Electric Power Company for the 125,568-cbm LNG carrier Echigo Maru (built 1983).
The charter-hire period is unclear but the vessel is expected to be used to ship cargoes from Abu Dhabi to Japan.
The previously laid-up LNG vessel was reactivated last year.
