Japanese trading house Marubeni is expanding its LNG shipping team with the appointment of Geoff Whitelaw to the London office.
He will be in charge of all the technical aspects of Marubeni’s LNG carriers. It has stakes in 14 vessels.
While the company does not manage any LNG carriers at present, officials said it needs in-house technical expertise for discussions with shipyards, charterers and lenders.
