Sweden’s Stena Bulk is rumoured to be on the brink of fixing one of its LNG carriers at a sky-high rate.

Market chatter this week said the 174,000-cbm Stena Crystal Sky (built 2011) is fixed on subjects at a whopping $170,000 per day for a 120-day charter period from May.

The company is also understood to be working on a long-term deal for the vessel at a daily rate of around $140,000.

The ship was being linked to a variety of names including Spain’s Stream, a Far Eastern charterer or producer Nigeria LNG.
