India’s Gujarat state government has approved the local joint venture developing the Mundra LNG terminal, clearing the way for the pairing to proceed with the project.
The thumbs-up was given to a 50-50 partnership between Adani Group and Gujurat State Petroleum Corporation.Total investment in the scheme, which is due to open with some 5 million to 10 million tonnes per annum of capacity in its first phase before eventually rising to a projected 20 million tpa, is expected to come in at around $1 billion.
