Russia’s SCF Group (Sovcomflot) has extended the number of optional LNG carrier newbuilding slots it is holding at South Korean yard STX Offshore & Shipbuilding.
The yard said today it is now sitting on six berths. SCF had previously reserved two.
Shell this week finally inked term time-charter contracts on two of SCF’s firm 140,000-cbm LNG newbuildings.
The vessels are due for delivery from STX in 2014 and 2015.
