Gazprom Marketing & Trading and Greece’s Dynagas have renamed what will be the first of three LNG carriers the Russian outfit will take on mid-term charter.

Dynagas’ 150,000-cbm Clean Power (built 2007) was named Ob River during a recent planned dry-docking at Keppel Shipyard in Singapore.

The ship will start a medium-term time-charter with the company when it ends its current job in the autumn.

Two 155,000-cbm Dynagas LNG newbuildings are expected to be named the Yenisei River and Lena River on their deliveries in 2013 and 2014.

Both vessels are widely understood to have been fixed on mid-term deals to GM&T.
