Malaysia’s MISC is turning its attentiontowards a new generation of LNG carriers as some of its oldest vessels move tonew lives in other sectors of the business.

MISC vice-president for LNG Business FaizulIsmail said of the company’s five, early 1980s-built Tenaga ships: “We arethinking about a renewal programme for these vessels. If the charterer allowsus then these vessels can be redeployed and we can have the opportunity to putin newbuildings as replacements.”
