Ship charterer Qatargas Operating Company has appointed specialist consultants to look into the continuing battery of complaints regarding noise from LNG carriers calling at the UK’s South Hook LNG terminal.
Danish outfit Lloyds Register ODS specialises in ship vibration problems.
Affected parties were due to meet Qatargas and South Hook officials this week to discuss the issues. Results of Lloyds’ study and any proposals for remedial action are due to be presented in mid-November.
