Brazilian oil major Petrobras has extended a charter agreement with Awilco LNG for the 125,631-cbm LNG carrier WilGas (built 1984).
Petrobras has had the WilGas fixed on a one-year charter since last October 2011 at a rate of $58,000 per day.
The deal extension will come into play when the original contract expires in early November of this year.
Awilco LNG said the latest agreement with Petrobras should earn the company earnings before interest and tax of around $23 million annually for the two years.
