Japanese shipowner NYK Line is marketing its lone speculatively ordered LNG carrier newbuilding for charter.
Energy division deputy chief executive Hitoshi Nagasawa said the company is trying to find suitable employment for the 100%-owned, 177,000-cbm LNG carrier on order at Kawasaki Heavy Industries in Japan.
The ice-class, Moss-type vessel, which is a sistership to Tokyo LNG Tankers’ Energy Horizon (built 2011), is due for delivery in September 2013.
