Sempra Energy will add liquefaction facilities at its Cameron LNG import terminal in the US Gulf only if these are supported by sales.
In a second-quarter results briefing this week, new chief executive Debbie Reed said: “We’re not going to do that unless we can have long-term contracts in place, but certainly that’s something we are looking at with other parties.”
