Two vessels built for the Angola LNG project appear to have been chartered out on short-term deals as start-up delays lengthen at the plant.

Trader Vitol has fixed the 161,337-cbm Soyo (built 2011) for a two-month period, brokers said, while the 160,400-cbm Malanje (built 2011) has been chartered by Nigeria LNG for a single voyage. Both ships had been lying off the coast near the new West African liquefaction plant

Last week the 160,786-cbm Sonagol Etosha (built 2011) was reported fixed by Australia’s North West Shelf project for a single voyage.
