• Asian spot LNG prices continued upward this week amidpersistent demand by end-users. Rim Intelligence’s Northeast Asia spotassessment gained to $15.45 per million British thermal units for deliveries inthe first half of May, compared to $15.20 a week ago for the same deliverywindow. Rim said power utilities may be seeking to build stocks forthe summer as they still cannot forecast nuclear power plant restarts.
