Shipyard Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings (MMHE) has started work on the conversion of one of a pair of LNG carriers which will be used as storage units for Malaysia’s first import facility.
MMHE confirmed in a statement that it has won the job of converting MISC’s 130,000-cbm Tenaga Satu (built 1980) into a floating storage unit for the new facility at Sungai Udang near Malacca.
