One of the few charter-free LNG carriers has been fixed out at a strong rate.
The 138,106-cbm Excel (built 2003) has been chartered by producer Nigeria LNG for two months at around $152,000 per day from mid-July, market players said.
There has been considerable interest in the vessel, which is jointly owned by Exmar and Mitsui OSK Lines and in which supermajor ConocoPhillips has an involvement.
