The fleet of LNG-fuelled ships has reached 50 operational and ordered units as shipowners turn to the fuel to meet strengthening emissions standards.
A tally by US-based consultant Zues Development shows that of the growing fleet of non-LNG carriers powered by the fuel, 11 are scheduled for delivery next year.
That figure includes six offshore supply vessels ordered by Olympic Shipping, Eidesvik Offshore, Island Offshore and REM Offshore.
