An Indonesian joint venture has revealed the charter rate it is paying to Golar LNG Partners on the country’s first floating storage and regasification unit.
A report in The Jakarta Globe quotes Ari Adji, technical director of Pertamina and Perusahaan Gas Negara joint venture Nusantara Regas, as saying the company is paying around $190,000 per day to charter the Nusantara Regas Satu unit stationed in Jakarta Bay off West Java.
Ari said that at current capacity utilisaton rates of 30% to 50% the joint venture expects to break even within five years on its $400 million investment in the 500 million cubic feet per day facility.
