Chubu Electric Power is running ahead of schedule on the upgrade and extension of its Kawagoe thermal power plant and LNG terminal in Japan.
Reinforcement of the receiving dock at Kawagoe, aimed at allowing deliveries by Q-Max vessels in the Qatari fleet, is complete.
Meanwhile, construction of two new 180,000 cubic-metre LNG storage tanks at the power plant’s receiving terminal is now set to be complete in the 2012 fiscal year, rather than the expected 2013 fiscal year.
