Brazilian explorer HRT Participacoes is considering a small-scale LNG scheme that could see it barge volumes on the Amazon River.
The Sao Paulo and Toronto-listed outfit is mulling over whether to monetise its Solimoes basin finds by turning to the power or industrial markets in Manaus, the Amazon region’s largest city. Riverboats are key to transport in Amazonas state, and HRT so far has no access to Petrobras pipelines in the region.
