Excelerate Energy has raised the buoy used for its first offshore regasification project as the company works to decommission the Gulf Gateway facility off Louisiana by the end of July.
The terminal handled just a few cargoes during its lifetime and, like other import facilities in the US, has been overtaken by the shale gas production explosion.
