A sales prospectus for French membrane containment system designer GTT looks set to be delayed until the middle of this year.

Interested parties said this week they have yet to receive documentation they had previously been told would be issued by this month.

They noted that the sale of a French-owned company to foreign players would not be a popular political move during the current general election campaign.

The prospectus is now expected to be issued after the presidential and National Assembly elections are wrapped up in May and June, respectively, sources suggested.

Shipyards currently build membrane-type LNG tanks under licence from GTT.
