Gail (India) has forged an initial deal with the government of Andhra Pradesh to build an LNG terminal in the east coast state.
The gas distribution company's Gail Gas arm said the memorandum of understanding involves a floating storage and regasification unit of between 3.5 million and 5 million tonnes per annum in throughput capacity.
It is planned for the area between the cities of Kakinada and Vishakhapatnam.
