French operators Elengy and Fosmax LNG are planning to update the services they offer to shippers.
Elengy, which operates Fos Tonkin and Montoir LNG on behalf of GDF Suez, and Fosmax, operator of the Fos Cavaou regas facility in southern France, are looking into cargo sharing options at the request of customers.
Under new plans, the companies said tariffs for the unloading service will be applied to each shipper according to how much of the cargo each unloads.
A penalty for late cancellation of cargoes is also set to be implemented, which would “not only act as an anti-hoarding penalty but most of all an incentive not to disrupt the terminal’s send-out”, according to the operators.
