Shell and TransCanada have asked regulators to bin permitsfor their Broadwater Energy LNG terminal project in the United States.

The Broadwater Pipeline joint venture has asked the FederalEnergy Regulatory Commission to cancel approvals for the offshore project’spipes to the grid.

“Broadwater has determined not to go forward with any aspectof the LNG project,” wrote Kenneth Wiseman, an Andrews Kurth lawyerrepresenting the project.
