Italian terminal developer Energia Falcione has launched talks to secure a major investor for its Levan LNG import project as it mulls a massive floating unit.

The company, which plans to build a facility in Albania tied via a subsea send-out pipeline to the Italian grid, is conducting due diligence with a shortlist of suitors, said a project source. “In order to give additional credibility to the project we need to show that we have an important shareholder that’s bigger than Falcione,” he said.
