Floating regasification specialist Excelerate Energy has emerged as a contender in the battle to build an LNG import terminal in Bahrain.
Sources named the US-based company as the second bidder after IM Skaugen this week revealed it is one of two companies to progress to the final round of negotiations for the work.
The Norwegian shipping outfit said it is pursuing a shore-based facility.
