Italy’s Eni is to scrap two LNG carriers both of which are over 40 years old.
Brokers report that the 41,000-cbm LNG Palmaria (built 1969) is already undergoing demolition in Turkey.
A contract to scrap sistership LNG Elba (built 1970) is also understood to have been drawn up.
Current demolition rates in Turkey could see Eni net around $3.5
